Parents and the Holy Spirit (Part 2)

I finished with this thought in the last devotion: Walk and produce fruit in the power of the Holy Spirit! How can a Christian mom or dad do this? The answer is actually quite simple.

1. Mom and dad must believe in God as their savior. Only a BELIEVER in Jesus Christ can bear fruit.

2. Mom and dad must listen to God. Only a BELIEVER in Jesus Christ SUBMITS TO AND OBEYS God’s voice in the BIBLE.

3. Mom and dad must talk to God. Only a BELIEVER in Jesus Christ will PRAY AS A FRIEND to her or his LORD and KING.

As believers, the more a mom and dad obey God’s Word and the more they talk to Him as a friend, the more God’s Spirit will work in them. Their responsibility before God is to be COMMITTED to Him. Their primary goal in life is to GLORIFY God and ENJOY Him. Walking in the Spirit is all about a TRUE RELATIONSHIP with God the Father and God the Son.

Several closing questions to reflect upon: Do you enjoy your relationship with God? Are you glorifying God in your daily walk? Are you committed to God – your true friend?

Terminé con este pensamiento en la última devoción: ¡Camine y produzca fruto en el poder del Espíritu Santo! ¿Cómo puede una mamá (o un papá) cristiano hacer esto? La respuesta es bastante sencilla.

1. Deben creer los papas en Dios como su salvador. Solo un CREYENTE en Jesucristo puede dar fruto.

2. Deben escuchar los papas a Dios. Solo un CREYENTE en Jesucristo SE SOMETE Y OBEDECE la voz de Dios en la BIBLIA.

3. Deben hablar los papas con Dios. Solo un CREYENTE en Jesucristo ORARÁ COMO AMIGO a su SEÑOR y REY.

Como creyente, cuanto más los papas obedezcan la Palabra de Dios y cuanto más ellos le hablen como amigo, más obrará el Espíritu de Dios en ellos. La responsabilidad de los papas ante Dios es estar COMPROMETIDOS con Él. El objetivo principal de ellos en la vida es GLORIFICAR a Dios y DISFRUTARLO. Caminar en el Espíritu se trata de una VERDADERA RELACIÓN con Dios el Padre y Dios el Hijo.

Varias preguntas finales para reflexionar: ¿Disfrutas de su relación con Dios? ¿Estás glorificando a Dios en tu caminar diario? ¿Estás comprometido con Dios, tu verdadero amigo?
