EXPECTATIONS FOR EACH COURSE IN THE PROGRAM

 

Each course of the program has the following expectations:

  1. View/Read/Study the videos/manuscripts.

  2. Attend all learning community sessions.

  3. Receive an 80% grade or above in all tests and quizzes. 

  4. Carry out the badge requirements.

  5. Apply learning in Church ministry at local or national church level.

EXPECTATIONS FOR LEARNING COMMUNITY SESSIONS

 

ATTENDANCE

It is expected that the student  attend ALL learning community sessions.  The Institute understands that there are valid reasons for being absent.  If the student is unable to attend a learning community session, he/she must inform the COURSE FACILITATOR.

A student is allowed to miss two session with a valid reason.  However, when a student misses the third session with a valid reason, he/she must submit the answers of the discussion questions  for the  third lesson missed to the course facilitator.

 

PARTICIPATION

Participation is a crucial part of the learning community sessions.  It is expected that each student actively participate and share in the discussions.   

​

Participation may come in in the form of questions, clarifications or responses to the discussion questions.  This participation may be be done by verbally contributing to the discussion, and/or by making a contribution through the lesson chat box. 

​

DRESS CODE

In general, the student dresses casually and appropriately for the community sessions.  T-shirts, dress shirts, blouses and dresses are acceptable.  No muscle shirts, no T-shirts with inappropriate words or images, no tank tops, no strapless blouses.

​

ACCESS TO A MICROPHONE

In order to actively participate and share in the discussions, the student must have ready access to a microphone.  If the student is participating as a group, all members of the groups should be positioned as to allow them access to the microphone at all times.

​

MUTING THE MICROPHONE

When not contributing to the discussion, microphones should be muted so as to avoid any disturbing background noise.

​

ACCESS TO A CAMERA

As a general rule, the student should have the camera on during the learning community sessions.  Discussions are best when participants can see each other.  If the student is participating as a group, all members of the group should be positioned as to allow them to be viewed at all times.  However, the Institute understands that at times the student will need to turn off the camera.

Complete the checklist below to ensure your video chat setup is ready.

  • Can you see yourself in the video feed?

  • Is the video feed clear and smooth?

  • Is your face entirely on camera?

  • Do you have good lighting in front of you?

  • Are you presentable according to dress code?

  • Are you sitting up in a quiet place with a tidy background?

EXPECTATIONS FOR LESSON PREPARATIONS

​

COMMUNITY LEARNING SESSION

 

In order to be fully prepared for the learning community session, the student should have done the following:

  1. Viewed the video, listened to the audio or read the manuscript.

  2. Answered and studied the questions in the Study Guide provided for each lesson.

  3. Reviewed the discussion questions and cases studies provided in the Discussion Guide.

QUIZZES

 

Taking the quiz for the lesson before the learning community session is not mandatory.  Some students will choose to take the quiz before the session, and others will choose to take the quiz after the session.  The most important is studying and learning the content.

 

The student must receive an 80% grade or above in each of the quizzes.   The quizzes can be done over and over again until the 80% or above grade is achieved.  Note that the questions changes each time you attempt the quiz, so studying the study guide questions is essential.

All quizzes must be taken and passed before taking the final examination.

​

FINAL EXAM

 

The student must receive an 80% grade or above on the final exam.  The final exam can be done over and over again until the 80% or above grade is achieved.  The final exam should not be attempted until all quizzes have been passed with an 80% grade or above.

EXPECTATION FOR CONTRIBUTION TO COURSE COSTS

The contribution for each course or foundation is $25 BZ.  This contribution should be made to the local pastor before the beginning of the third lesson in a course or foundation.

 

There are a total of four courses or foundations per year.  The total cost for one year would be $100.  

​

The contribution would cover the basics such as but not limited to Zoom, photocopies, toner and study resources.

​

NOTE:  It is greatly recommended that the student approach the church leadership for sponsorship of his/her studies.

EXPECTATIVAS PARA CADA CURSO DEL PROGRAMA
Cada curso del programa tiene las siguientes expectativas:

  1. Ver/Leer/Estudiar los videos/manuscritos. 

  2. Asistir a todas las sesiones de la comunidad de aprendizaje. ​

  3. Reciba una calificación de 80% o superior en todas las pruebas y cuestionarios.

  4. Llevar a cabo los requisitos de la insignia.

  5. Aplicar el aprendizaje en el ministerio de la Iglesia a nivel de iglesia local o nacional.

 

EXPECTATIVAS PARA LAS SESIONES DE LA COMUNIDAD DE APRENDIZAJE

 

ASISTENCIA

Se espera que el estudiante asista a TODAS las sesiones de la comunidad de aprendizaje. El Instituto entiende que existen razones válidas para estar ausente. Si el estudiante no puede asistir a una sesión de la comunidad de aprendizaje, debe informar al FACILITADOR DEL CURSO. ​

 

Un estudiante puede perder dos sesiones con una razón válida. Sin embargo, cuando un estudiante falta a la tercera sesión por una razón válida, debe enviar las respuestas de las preguntas de discusión de la tercera lección perdida al facilitador del curso.

 

PARTICIPACIÓN

La participación es una parte crucial de las sesiones de la comunidad de aprendizaje. Se espera que cada estudiante participe activamente y comparta las discusiones. ​

 

La participación puede venir en forma de preguntas, aclaraciones o respuestas a las preguntas de discusión. Esta participación puede hacerse contribuyendo verbalmente a la discusión y/o haciendo una contribución a través del cuadro de chat de la lección. ​

 

CÓDIGO DE VESTIMENTA

En general, el estudiante se viste casual y apropiadamente para las sesiones comunitarias. Se aceptan camisetas, camisas de vestir, blusas y vestidos. No camisetas sin mangas, camisetas con palabras o imágenes inapropiadas, camisetas sin mangas, blusas sin tirantes. ​

 

ACCESO A UN MICRÓFONO

Para participar activamente y compartir en las discusiones, el estudiante debe tener acceso a un micrófono. Si el estudiante está participando como grupo, todos los miembros de los grupos deben colocarse de manera tal que les permitan acceder al micrófono en todo momento. ​

 

SILENCIAR EL MICRÓFONO

Cuando no se esté contribuyendo a la discusión, los micrófonos deben silenciarse para evitar ruidos de fondo molestos. ​

 

ACCESO A UNA CÁMARA

Como regla general, el estudiante debe tener la cámara encendida durante las sesiones de la comunidad de aprendizaje. Las discusiones son mejores cuando los participantes pueden verse entre sí. Si el estudiante participa como grupo, todos los miembros del grupo deben colocarse de manera que se les permita verlos en todo momento. Sin embargo, el Instituto entiende que en ocasiones el estudiante necesitará apagar la cámara. ​

EXPECTATIVAS PARA LA PREPARACIÓN DE LAS LECCIONES ​

 

SESIÓN DE APRENDIZAJE COMUNITARIO

Para estar completamente preparado para la sesión de la comunidad de aprendizaje, el estudiante debería haber hecho lo siguiente: Viste el video, escuchó el audio o leyó el manuscrito. Respondió y estudió las preguntas en la Guía de estudio provista para cada lección. Revisó las preguntas de discusión y los estudios de casos proporcionados en la Guía de discusión. ​

 

EXAMEN (Quiz)

No es obligatorio realizar el examen de la lección antes de la sesión de la comunidad de aprendizaje. Algunos estudiantes optarán por realizar el examen antes de la sesión y otros optarán por realizar el examen después de la sesión. Lo más importante es estudiar y aprender el contenido. El estudiante debe recibir una calificación de 80% o más en cada una de las pruebas. Los examenes se pueden realizar una y otra vez hasta alcanzar el 80 % o más de calificación. Tenga en cuenta que las preguntas cambian cada vez que intenta el examen, por lo que es esencial estudiar las preguntas de la guía de estudio. ​ Todos los examenes deben ser tomados y aprobados antes de tomar el examen final. ​

 

EXAMEN FINAL

El estudiante debe recibir una calificación de 80% o más en el examen final. El examen final se puede realizar una y otra vez hasta alcanzar el 80% o más de calificación. No se debe intentar el examen final hasta que se hayan aprobado todas las pruebas con una calificación del 80 % o superior. ​​ ​

 

EXPECTATIVA DE CONTRIBUCIÓN A LOS COSTOS DEL CURSO

​

El aporte por cada curso o fundación es de $25 BZ. Esta contribución debe hacerse al pastor local antes del comienzo de la tercera lección en un curso o fundación.

 

Hay un total de cuatro cursos o fundamentos por año. El costo total por un año sería de $100. ​

 

La contribución cubriría los conceptos básicos, como, entre otros, Zoom, fotocopias, tóner y recursos de estudio. ​

 

NOTA: Se recomienda encarecidamente que el estudiante se acerque al liderazgo de la iglesia para el patrocinio de sus estudios.
